Corcimaru was a respected professor and headed the Department of Hematology, Oncology, and Field Therapy at the "Nicolae Testemițanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy.His academic excellence was recognized when he became a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. In 2008, his significant contributions to medicine were honored with the "Laureate of the State Prize," awarded by the President of the Republic of Moldova.
