Tamara Munteanu is a doctor in pedagogical sciences and a lecturer at the Ion Creanga Pedagogical State University in Chișinău, Moldova. She is also the dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the Tiraspol State University. Munteanu has published research on mentorship in education and aspects of reading and writing in primary school classrooms. She is a notable figure in the founding of the Faculty of Pedagogy and has contributed to the education system in Moldova.
