Valeriu Moşneaga is a political scientist and professor at the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences at Moldova State University in Chişinău, Republic of Moldova. He has written extensively on Moldovan labor migration into the European Union, gendered migration from Moldova and Ukraine to the EU, and counteracting human trafficking. Moşneaga has also been cited over 300 times on Google Scholar for his work in political science and sociology.
