György Marko-Varga heads a reserach team at the Biomedical Center in Lund where the focus is on Drug Characterization by Mass Spec Imaging and Disease Pathology studies where we Discover Biomarker by Proetin Expression Profiling. He and a team also develop and validate Multiplex protein quantitation assays used in Clinical Studies. Gyorgy is also responsible for Biobank and Biomarker developments within the “Big 3" study: Lung Cancer-CardioVascular disease-, and COPD with 100,000 patients and 5 Million samples (2010-2014) in Southern Sweden. György Marko-Varga is a professor of clinical protein science and the founder of the Biomedical Proteomics Research Group. Dr. Marko-Varga's research focuses on utilizing lab automation and AI for high-throughput proteomic analysis to advance personalized medicine and biomarker discovery.
