UNAIDS Organizations
UNAIDS is a joint program of the United Nations that aims to eradicate HIV through prevention, treatment, care, and support. It works to reduce transmission, eliminate new infections among children, avoid TB deaths, and eliminate discrimination. UNAIDS unites the efforts of 11 UN organizations and works closely with global and national partners to provide strategic direction, advocacy, coordination, and technical support to deliver life-saving HIV services. The organization was established in 1996 and is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
