Fiber-X is concept development company for specialty bio-based fiber "game-changer" concepts promoting the use of agro residues (straw, rice husk, waste sludge, millet, etc.), elimination of unsustainable materials (plastics, cotton) and more innovative use of fast growing sustainable biomaterials. Example projects include bioplant concept development from willow & bark generating nutraceuticals/polyphenols/biocomposites/antibacterial wrappings, container concept for foam formed packaging cushioning replacing EPS by agro residues (rice husks, millet, etc.), paper batteries, superabsorbent from hemp fiber, polyphenol-rich nanocellulose for wound dressings / anti-aging creams, high-intensity ultrasound homogenizer for emulsions/dispersions, etc. Company has 3 Centers of Excellence located in Sweden, Finland and India.
