NORMDECS None

NORMDECS is a research project hosted at the University of Lausanne that aims to study the fundamental questions of forensic interpretation through probability and decision theory. It seeks to conceptualize and substantiate forensic inference as an integral part of a wider framework for coherent decision analysis in the law. The project features a highly multidisciplinary perspective by connecting core forensic science and the law with computational statistics and philosophy of science. NORMDECS is led by Alex Biedermann and is hosted at UNIL's School of Criminal Justice, which has a long-standing international reputation of excellence for research in forensic science, education, casework, and expert consultancy.
