The Global Fund is an international financing institution that fights AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. They work with local experts and partners to distribute mosquito nets, provide equipment for diagnosis, and train peer counselors. They aim to create partnerships between government, civil society, the private sector, and communities living with the diseases. The Global Fund was founded in 2002 and is based in Geneva, Switzerland. They invest US$4 billion a year to defeat HIV, TB, and malaria and ensure a healthier, safer, equitable future for all.
