She obtained the title of Sports Master in Checkers of the USSR in 1959. He has been an international master at the Brazilian checkers since 1990. He began training at the House of Pioneersand Students in Tiraspol under the guidance of Pavel Savin. In 1949, at the age of 14, he became the champion of Moldova in the game of checkers among men. In 1952, being part of the Moldova team, he won first place in the youth team championship in Rostov-on-Don. In 1958, he graduated theInstitute of Refrigeration Industry in Odessa, worked as aprocess engineer at the Elektromash plant in Tiraspol, then at the Elektropribor factory in Chisinau (1959- 1973). In 1959, he placed third in theteam championship of the USSR (A. Shvartzman, .I Kacherov, V. Krivoruk, L. Benderskaya). In 1973, he left for Israel. He worked as a mechanic in the fleet. He returned to participate in the championships only in 1983. He won the prizes in the Israeli championships for Brazilian checkers and triathlon (international, Russian and Brazilian checkers) in individual and team competitions, participating in three finals of the USSR championships and at seven championships of the USSR team, silver medalist of the first union championship, the champion of Israel among veterans. He became the championof Israel in the Russian checkers game, the blitz game with Russian checkers, Brazilian checkers and international checkers; in 2002, he becamethe absolute champion of Israel.
