His grandfather was Noel Werthein, son of Leo Werthein. Graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires (1988), he pursued further studies at Fordham University. New York, where he earned his Master in Business Administration in 1991 (Beta Gama Sigma, National Honor Society for business students). Was elected Member of the Board of Fordham Graduate School of Business Administration Alumni Association 1992/1993. Started his professional career at Barclays Bank Pic, London, moving on to Ecoban Finance Limited, New York, where he became Vice President in 1993. Back in Argentina he was appointed Advisor to the National Industry Secretariat (1994 - 1995) and joined Banco Mercantil Argentino, where he was appointed Deputy General Manager in 1996. Since then he has held senior management responsibilities at various companies within the Werthein Group. Current-ly, he is one of the 4 shareholders of the Werthein Group that has among its assets TGS (Transportadora de Gas), Experta ART, Experta Seguros, La Estrella, Gregory Numo and Noel Werthein SA (devoting to farming on 90,000 hectares & Dihrdrated Fruits Plant), Gauss Hedge Fund, Cachay (infusions), WHT Wines Partners (Riglos- Huarpe wines) and Real Estate. Chairman of the Board of Trustees of World ORT, is member of the executive Board of IDC, had chair one of the largest social welfare organizations in Argentina, Tredaka Foundation; and Participated on the Board of Vida Silvestre.
