The daughter of Charles Bronfman. Ellen Bronfman Hauptman is Co- Chairman of Andell Inc., a private investment firm and family office that she controls with her husband, Andrew Hauptman. Andell invests directly in private and public companies as well as in real estate. Ellen is deeply involved in numerous philanthropic pursuits, having launched a number of programs and initiatives. She is a Co-Founder of the Bronfman Hauptman Foundation which is dedicated to social justice, advance- ments in education, and environmental protection, and supports many other philan- thropic and civic causes. She is also a Co-Founder and Board Member of City Year Los Angeles, an education-focused nonprofit that engages young people from diverse backgrounds for a year of full-time community service in our nation's most challenged schools. She also helped create Andell Family Sundays, an initiative to involve low - income families and children in the arts at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Ellen is passionate about the environment being a member of the Natural Resources Defense Council's Los Angeles Leadership Council and Conservation International's Leadership Council. She is also a member of Visionary Women's Visionary Circle. Previously, Ellen worked as a producer and film buyer for documen- tary and feature films at Cineplex Odeon, a North American-based theatrical exhibi- tor. She is a graduate of Yale University.
