He was a quadruple international draughts world champion amongst juniors (1987, Trento; 1988, Granville; 1989, Tallinn; 1990, Rotterdam). He is international master and international draughts master on a 10x10 board. He won at the age of 10 the silver medal at USSR Juniors Championship of Tiraspol. He settled to Israel since 1990.
