He was born on May 31st, 1945 in Buenos Aires, a grandson of Jewish emi- grants from Podolia (today Ukraine) and Chisinäu, who arrived in Argentina at the beginning of the 20th century, running away from the tsarist pogroms. Author oftens of books, he worked as journalist and was very well known for interviewing world personalities as Muhammad Ali, Ted Kennedy, Jorge Rafael Videla, Raul Alfonsin Jose Mujica, Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, Ernesto Sabato and Augusto Roa Bastos. He was director of the Municipal Radio of Bue- nos Aires (1989-1991). He was at Caracas professor at the School of Social Communication of the Central University of Venezuela until the mid of 1976. Employed by The Associated Press (AP) for its international headquarters of New York, he settled to the United States as editor of that agency until 1979. Be- tween 1979 and 1980, before being forbidden by the military government, he was corresponded of the Mitre Radio of Buenos Aires in New York and special envoyi n Nicaragua, the United States and Canada. He remained in the United States until the end of 1981 as correspondent for several publications: El Diario de Caracas founded
by Rodolfo Terragno, Unomasuno of Mexico and 1 European" of Italy. He directed the Municipal Radio of Buenos Aires between 1989 and 1991. His main program on different stations was Esto que pasa. Decorated with Konex de Honor Award
