At the age of 19, Kuperstein went to study natural sciences and agronomy in Belgium and France. After that he also studied letters, philosophy and social sciences at the Sorbonne, becoming at that time a good connoisseur of the French language and culture. In Palestine, and in 1948 in the new state of Israel, Leib Kuperstein began publishing articles in the Davar, Omer, Al Hamishmar, Maariv, Gazit and Moznaim magazines. His first column, entitled "Mekarov" (Close) - "From the diary of a new emigrant" appeared in December 1940 in the newspaper "Omer" He later published in the "Am oved" publishing house the books Meghilat Struma (Struma's Book) and Goral yehudey Romania (The Fate of the Jews in Romania). He later published Hebrew translations of children's books by Russian writer Korna Tchaikovsky"The Stolen Sun" and "Muha Tokotuha" (Wonder Fly), illustrated by Lea Grundig. He edited the pedagogical manual "Lahorim" (For Parents), the anthology of Anton Makarenko's pedagogical works "Sefer hinuh beveit hahorim" (Book for parents) and the publication "Tel Aviv shelanu" (Our Tel Aviv), one of the first local newspapersin Israel. He was also one of the founding members of the Israeli Association of Journalists and Magazines. As chairman of the Israeli council of the "Brit Ivrit Olamit", he wrote for the magazine "Am Hasefer" (Books People) for ten years, continuing to contribute to the spread of the Hebrew language andculture.
