She came in the Drama Theater "A. P. Cehov" immediately she had graduated the Institute of Theater Art ofKiev. Over the time, the actress had created approxi- mately two hundred artistic characters with multiple faces. The most important of them are: Lucy ("Dead people without funerals", Jean- Paul Sartre), Arkadina and Ranevskaia ("The Seagull" and "T' he Cherry Orchard" by Anton Cehov), Queen Elisabeth ("Marie Stuart" by F. Schiller), Filomena ("Filome- na Marturano" by .E de Filippo), Tamara ("Five evenings" by A. Volodin), Tanka- bike ("On the Night of the Lunar Eclipse" by M. Karim), Sofia Ivanovna (" I love you, mother", N. Ptuskin) and many others. Plus, the actress created powerful and me- morable solo spectacles on the poetries of Voznesenski, Marina Tzvetaeva, Anna Ahmatova. At the beginning of 1960s, Nelly Kamenev was the first TV broadcaster from the National Television. In 1965, she was awarded the title of Emeritus Artist of USSR, and in 1982 - People's Artist of MSSR. The actress passed away on Sunday, February 18th, 2007 in Chisināu, on the scene, during the spectacle Woe from Wit by Aleksandr Griboedov. Her lost words were: "Thank you, my dear". She said them at the beginning of the second act and then she fel and did not get up anymore. She was awarded with the Order "Honor Badge and the medal "Civic Merit" and obtained a diploma at the Festival of Jewish music and songs from Birobidjan, 1990.
