The son of the Baroness Aileen Mindel
Bronfman de Gunzburg. Mr. Charles de Gunzburg is Co-Founder at FdG Associates LP. He is on the Board of Directors at Intrepid Museum Foundation, Inc. Mr. de Gunzburg co-founded FdG in 1995. He is also Vice Chairman of First Spring Corporation, a family invest- ment firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. de Gunzburg held various positions at The Seagram Company. He is a Trustee and Co-Chairman of the Board of the Intrepid Sea-Air Space Museum and a Founding Trustee of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. He is also a Trustee and serves on the Executive Committee of The Schepens Eye Research Institute in Boston, Massachusetts and is a Trustee of The Jewish Museum of New York and VisionSpring Foundation. Mr. de Gunzburg is also a member of the President's Council of the Massachusetts General Hospital. Mr. de Gunzburg holds a BAfrom Dartmouth College and an MPA from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
The de Gunzburg children, Charles and Jean, have provided significant sup- port to CES, beginning in 1986 with a $10 million grant to Harvard for the reno- vation of Adolphus Busch Hal. This was followed in the late 1990s by $5 million to CES and its endowment. In 1986, the Center was renamed the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies and in 1989, CES moved into the renovated Busch Hal.
