Born in the family of emigrants from Bessarabia. He began his career at the Student Theater in Pernambuco. He represents plays of top authors of world theater, including William Shakespeare, Bertolt Brecht, Fernando Arrabal, Luigi Pirandello,
John Steinbeck, Nikolai Gogol, Jean-Paul Sartre, Ariano Suassuna and many others. Germano Haut has been involved in cultural movements in the Jewish com-
munity of Recife since he was a teenager, such as Hashomer Hatzair - a Zionist youth movement linked to Israel's left-wing Mapam party. He carries out entrepreneurial
activities in parallel with his acting career, which keeps him away from the stage for several periods.
The organization of the First National Student Theater Festival, in 1958, at the Santa Isabel Theater in Recife, designed and coordinated by Paschal Charlemagne, arouses among the young people of the Jewish community the desire to create atheater group themselves. To guide the destinies of the new group, the director Grata Mello is invited, then he became a professor of the newly created theater course
- later a training course for actors at the School of Fine Arts, Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE.
He won the award for the revelation of the male performer, awarded by the Association of Theater Chroniclers of Pernambuco - ACTP.
