During 1951 - 1953, he was part of the group of sculptors working on the re- alization of the monumental statue of Stalin on Volga-Don Canal. He worked on the realization of equestrian statue of Grigore Cotovschi of Chisināu in 1954, located in the center of t h e capital of the Moldovan Socialist Soviet Republic. Since 1957, he rea- lized agallery of sculptural portraits, representing people of cultureof Moldova: Mihai Eminescu, Vasile Alecsandri, Gheorghe Asachi, Costache Negruzzi, Dimitrie Cantemir, Miron Costin, A. Sciusev, Oleg Bain, whose busts had to be situated in the Purkin Park, which was opened the following year. He was chosen as corresponding member of the Academy of Plastic Arts of Sank Petersburg (1954) and member of honor of the Unions of Plastic Artistsfrom Romania, being laureate of the StatePrize of the Moldovan Socialist Soviet Republic (1970). He was decorated with the Order "Red Flag of Work" (1948), Order "V. Lenin" (1960) and Order "Revolution of October" (1980). In 1963, he was awarded the title of People's Plastic Artists of the Moldovan Socialist Soviet Republic. Lazar Dubinovsky is the author of a series of monuments of Chisināu, Bälti: from Lenin up to young Boris Glavan, and other cities of the Republic of Moldova. Therefore, there is in Chisināu the statue of Grigore Cotovschi (1954), the monument of "Komsomol Heroes", dedicated to the revolutionary young people (1959), composer Stefan Neaga (1964),"The Freedom" - in front of "Chisinäu" hotel.
