Her father was born in Bessarabia. Studied Theatre and Literature at the Tel Aviv University. Graduated the Kibbutzim College of Education's Movement School.
Founded the Tmu-na Theater Ensemble in 1981 and is the theatre's artistic director since its establishment. She writes and directs the plays produced by the Tmu-na Theater Ensemble and conducts acting workshops in Israel and overseas (London, Baltimore, Manchester, Glasgow, Lublin, Madrid, Poznan, Atlanta and Philadelphia among others) introducing a unique interdisciplinary method she developed over the years. Zukerman was the artistic director of "Curtain Up" Dance Festival in Tel Aviv between 2001 and 2005. She was honored in "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Israeli Ministry of Culture in the vear 2008.

As The Piano Plays (1988) - which was awarded the INDEPENDENT prize at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; Shelter (1991) which received the "Fringe Firsts" award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; Judy Darling (2000); Anywhere in the Tub Where There Is No Water (2010); A Letter to Duras (2010) and many others.
