He is the son of the artist Dina Vierny from Bessarabia. In 1969, he enrolled at IFC (Film Training Institute). In addition to his courses, he works as an assistant
director for NDR, the second TV show ni Hamburg for outdoor filming in Paris. He
worked for NDR until 1971. From 1972 to 1979, he worked as an assistant director
for feature films and television. He also makes short films. The best known are two:
a 26-minute film about the sculptor Henri Moore, a film the artist selected for his exhibition at the Jeu de Paume in 1977. He also makes a 45-minute film about Peggy Guggenheim. Thisfilm is about Peggy, Jean Helion, Henri Moore and Marino Marini. In 1976, he worked for commercial film production companies and wrote lyrics for
songs. In 1982, he did a test at the Dina Vierny Gallery on 7, Jacob Street. This test is conclusive. Dina entrusted him with the direction of the gallery in 1985. He organized at the exhibition gallery of Serge Poliakoff, Robert Couturier, Gilioli, Ilya Kabakov, Erik Boulatov, Michel Haas, Marcel Duchamp etc.
He brought the photo to the gallery in 2000 with the American photographer
Jerry Schatzberg. She exposes Frank Horvat several times. In 1985, Dina Vierny opened her foundation. She entrusts the direction to Olivier Lorquin. For 14 years, Olivier Lorquin, together with his brotherBertrand Lorquin, organized 4 exhibitions that gave an international dimension to the Maillol Museum.
