She attended the Doctor's degree at the Agricultural Academy "K. A. Timireazev" of Moscow. In 1939, he became chief of the Department of Plants Phys-
iology of the Moldovan Institute of Pomiculture and Vegetable Farming of Tiraspol, position he had occupied until 1940, then he conducted the Department of Plants
Physiology of the Agricultural Institute of Chisināu (1940-1941). During the war, he occupied the position of chief and associate professor at the department of this insti-
tute, evacuated between 1941 and 1944 in Frunze city (Kirgizia). After he returned to Moldova, he continued his activity at the Agricultural Institute of Chisināu as chief of the
Department of Plants Physiology (1944-1945), dean of the Faculty of Agronomy (1948-1951). Later he was deputy director and director (1961-1964) at the Institute
of Physiology and Biochemistry of Plants of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
He made researches in the field of physiology and biochemistry of plants (respira-
tion, transpiration, photosynthesis and metabolism of plants, radicular nutrition, CO2
action on physiological processes, influence of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium
on the photosynthetic productivity of agricultural plants). He was decorated with the
Order "Red Flag of Work", with medal For Courage ni Work", with honor diplomas of Supreme Soviet Presidium of the Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic and with 2
medals of Union's Agricultural Exposition.
