Vadim Olshevsky was a Post-doctoral Scholar with the School of
Mathematical Sciences of Tel Aviv University from 1991 to 1993. He was a Research
Associate with theDepartmentofElectrical EngineeringatStanford Universityfrom1994 to 1996. Vadim Olshevsky serves as an Associate Editor of the Elsevier journal "Linear Algebra and Its Applications," and as an Associate Editor of the Birkhauser journal "Integral Equations and Operator Theory." He is a member of the editorial boards of the Taylor &Francis journal Linear And Multilinear Algebra," as wel as of "Electronic Transactions on Numerical Analysis," and a member of the editorial board of the Birkhauser book series "Operator Theory: Advances and Applications".
Vadim Olshevsky serves on the board of the International Seminar on Matrix Methods and Operator Equations of the Institute of Numerical Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and of Moscow State Univeristy.
Vadim Olshevsky has served as a chair of the organizing committee of the 2013 meeting of International Linear Algebra Society, and as a chair of the organizing committee of the 2005 IWOTA - "International Workshop on Operator Theory and Applications." He chaired the organizing committies of two AMS/SIAM research con- ferences on"Fast Algorithms" in 2001, and on "Structured Matrices in Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering" in 1999.
