Since 1974, he worked at the journal "Philosophy Issues"; currently he is member of the editorial board. Since 2003 - he is professor of at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Research University - the Superior School of Economy. He benefited of the literary scholarship Heinrich Bell (1992). According to the version launched by the famous French journal "Le Nouvel Observateur" (2005), Vladimir Cantor is entered in a list of 25th greatest thinkers of themodern world ("25 de Grands penseurs du monde entire").
