Her maternal grandmother was Lydia Mordkovitch. She was admitted to London'sJunior Royal Academy of Music and at aged 10, Tanja enjoyed her first solo opportuntiy with orchestra at the Tong Siew T o Conservatory, Singapore. Following studies with Natasha Boyarsky (Yehudi Menuhin School), Boris Kucharsky and Boris Kushnir (Vienna), Tanja was awarded a President's Distinction Award at New England Conservatory (Boston) with Miriam Fried. Tanjas extensive concerto repertoire is complemented with frequent travel to International Music Festivals, including Verbier Festival Academy (Switzerland), and Ravinia Steans Music Institute (USA). She enjoyed chamber music collaborations with numerous Masters - most recently Menachem Presser, Kim Kashkashian and Pamela Frank. A multiple prize-winner from international competitions, including Andrea Postacchini (Italy) Tunbridge Wells (UK) and Henri Marteau (Germany), Tanja was winner of the Manfred Grommek Prize at Kronberg Academy (Germany). In 2019, Tanja tra- velled to Vietnam and Japan with Midori Goto's International Community Engagement Program to perform for communities in need. She has conducted mas- terclasses at the Midwest Young Artists programme (USA) the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, (USA) the North Davis Elementary School (USA) and is currently aregularviolin teacher at Enhui Music, Tiffin Girls' School, (UK).
