Raisa Sheynberg is a foreign and economic policy expert with over a decade of experience in the U.S. federal government and in the private sector. Raisa worked in the office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence at the Treasury Department and at the National Security Council in the Obama White House as the Director for International Trade and Investment. Her policy experience includes illicit finance and sanctions, AML/CFT, inter- national trade, and market access issues. She helped develop and advance policy ini- tiatives such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement, economic sanctions on Russia, and international engagement around norms of conduct in cyberspace and cybersecurity. Raisa worked to build strategic partnerships on behalf of the U. S. government across the Middle East, in Mexico and Russia. She now works with tech- nology companies and major American multinationals on high-profile global policy challenges and strategic communications. While getting a masters degree in International Relations at Georgetown University, she had the fortune to become a teaching assistant for former U.S. Secretary of State Madeline Albright. Sheynberg considers one of the most remark- able moments in her life to be sitting at brunch after graduation with her parents and Albright. She came to the U.S. with her parents in 1992.
