His family was from Chisinäu. He moved to Argentina a few years before David was born. He is the brother of Rafael (born in Chisinau in 1902), Abelardo and Jose (1907). He is the father of Dr. Liliana Rose Grinfeld. The Institute for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease (IDYTAC) was established in 1968 by Professor David Grinfeld, who was a pioneer in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of UNIP National University of La Plata, Argentina. In collaboration with Dr. Domingo and Dr. Carlos Valenzuela, they incorpora- ted Hemodynamics Diagnostics and made it one of the world leaders in outpatient angiography. In 1974, the central cardiac surgery team that develops its practices in the Spanish Hospital of La Plata is incorporated until today. His son, Dr. Roberto Grinfeld, performed the first mammary-coronary anastomosis in Argentina. In 1980, he began the endovascular therapeutic stagein Argentina, and his daughter, Dr. Liliana Grinfeld, who performed the first coronary angioplasty in Argentina. Over the years, he has developed the Institute for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases, bringing medical equipment specialized in pediatric he- modynamics, peripheral therapy, electrophysiology and neurointervention. Todaythe institute has the research and prophylaxis component.
