Grigory Roytberg is the founder and President of Medicina JSC, Academic of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MD, Professor, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Laureate of the RF Government Award in Education, Laureate of the Moscow City Government Award in Health Care and Medicine. Head of the Chair of Therapy and Family Medicine at N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University of the Russian Ministry of Health, a practi- cing physician, scientist, and educator. Member of the Bureau of the Presidium of the Jewish Congress of Russia. Dr. Roytberg stood at the origins of introducting such foundational diagnostic methods as coronary angiography and echocardiographyinto medical practice. He is the author of new methods to treat patients with acute large-focal MI. He is a pioneer of scientific research on metabolic syndrome, author of over 600 research works, in- cluding seven monographs, and academic advisor of the translation of Guidelines on Family Medicine into Russian. In 1990 he opened a multidisciplinary private clinic (treatment and diagnos- tic center) JSC "Medicine", on the basis of which in January 1998 Grigory Roitberg organized the country's first department of familymedicine at the faculty of advanced training of doctors of the Russian State Medical University.
