He is the son of Abraham Krivoy. His grandparents, Leon Krivoy and Clara Onikman, emigrated from Bessarabia to Venezuela after the First World War.
He studied primary education at the College of Morality and Lights between 1966-1972 and secondary education at the College of Morality and Lights between 1972-1977. He obtained the status of internal surgeon aftergraduating the Luis Razetti School of the Central University of Venezuela between 1978-1984. In 1983-1984, he was an intern at the Venezuelan Red Cross, being the head of theinternshipteam. He later did an internship at the University Hospital of Caracas.
He started working as a doctor in the José Félix Rivas de Petare in 1985. He spent 1986 studying Surgery and Traumatology at the Miguel Pérez Carreno Hospital. Between 1987 and 1991, he worked at the University Hospital of the University of Caracas, where he also obtained a postgraduate degree, specializing in neurosurgery. Head of the surgery department of the University Hospital 1994-1997. He won a Scholarship at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Active member of the spinal surgery committee of the Venezuelan Society of Neurosurgery since January 1999. Member of the Latin American Society of Functional and Stereotactic Surgery, representative for Venezuela. Member of the PostgraduateStudies Commission of the Central University of Venezuela, etc.
