Son of Yale Zimberg. As an experienced gynecologic surgeon, board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, dr. Zimberg have a long history of teaching, research, and mentoring medical professionals over my career. He became the Program Director for Cleveland Clinic Floridas fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, training young medical professionals in surgical procedures and research, as well as presenting nationally and internationally.
The work led to 30+ peer-reviewed publications and interesting developments in the fields of uterine transplant, endometriosis, pelvic pain, cancers, as well as surgical device research. Stephen Zimberg also developed significant expertise working with non-human primates. Over the past two years, dr. Zimberg have completed a Master's program in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics at University of Maryland, the first in the US. This has given him an extensive background in medical cannabis (chemistry, policy, therapeutics, and toxicology) and as a result, dr. Zimberg enrolled as a student in the PhD program in Molecular Medicine and Pharmacogenomics of the College of Pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University. "We will be doing work on the use of cannabinoids in women's health issues, particularly endometriosis and ovarian cancer. The combination of background in womens health and medical cannabis, coupled with the research endeavors, should yield promising results".
