Maha Hamed Kanoo is the General Manager for Administration, HR and Marketing of The Kanoo Group, one of the largest independent, family owned, groups of companies in the Gulf region. Maha finished her high school in Dubai at Zabeel Women School and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts, Major in Economics from Sweet Briar College, Virginia, USA. Maha joined Citibank and Royal Bank of Canada in Dubai as a trainee and after graduation, she worked for American Express in Bahrain. Maha joined the family business first in Bahrain and then moved to the UAE. As head of the Human Resources, she is also responsible for implementing The Kanoo Group Emiratization program " Shababona". Maha completed several courses in Arts and held her first exhibition of paintings in Dubai in 1993. Maha is a certified diver, and enjoys the Japanese martial arts of Aikido, for her fun is painting, travelling and indulging in water sports. Maha was ranked number 75 on Forbes 100 Most Powerful Arab Businesswomen.
