Stanislav Groppa, born on May 15, 1956, in Chișinău, Moldova, is a distinguished medical professional specializing in neurology. He holds the title of Dr. hab. in medical sciences and is a university professor and academician of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (AȘM). Currently, he serves as Prorector for research activities at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) Nicolae Testemițanu and heads the Department of Neurology No. 2 and the Laboratory of Neurobiology and Medical Genetics. Groppa's extensive career includes roles such as Vice President of the AȘM, coordinator of the Medical Sciences Section, and Dean of the Faculty of Continuous Medical Education.
