Popovici's professional career spans over several decades, starting as an aspirant and assistant at the Biochemistry Department of the State Medical Institute. He later assumed roles as the Head of the Clinical-Experimental Cardiology Sector and went on to become the Director of several prominent medical research institutes in Moldova, including the Institute of Cardiology and the Institute of Preventive and Clinical Medicine.Popovici's research interests have primarily focused on cardiovascular diseases, particularly dilated cardiomyopathies, heart failure, and rhythm disorders. He has been instrumental in defining the factors contributing to these conditions and developing pathogenetic treatments.
