Nicolae Vulpe is a distinguished mathematician and professor at the State University of Moldova and the Vladimir Andrunachievici Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, where he has made significant contributions to the Laboratory of Differential Equations. His professional journey, which began in 1972, has been marked by a series of progressive roles within the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.Starting as a senior lab assistant in the Differential Equations sector, Vulpe quickly advanced to positions such as junior and senior scientific researcher. By 1984, he became the head of the Differential Equations sector, a role he held until 1993. Following this, he served as the principal scientific researcher and later as the head of the Differential Equations Laboratory from 2009 to 2014. Since December 2014, he has continued his work as the principal scientific researcher in the same laboratory.Vulpe’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He obtained his doctoral degree (PhD) in physical and mathematical sciences in 1975 from the Institute of Mathematics with the Computer Center. His academic career was further distinguished by earning the title of Doctor Habilitat in Physical and Mathematical Sciences in 1985 and being awarded the scientific-didactic title of Professor in 1998. In 2012, he was honored as a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, a testament to his contributions to the field of mathematics. His educational background includes a master's degree in mathematics from the State Pedagogical University of Tiraspol Taras Shevchenko, which he completed between 1966 and 1970. Prior to this, he attended Cahul High School and Brânza Primary School in Vulcănești, where he laid the foundational skills that would support his illustrious career.Throughout his tenure, Nicolae Vulpe has been deeply involved in the scientific community, not only conducting significant research in differential equations but also mentoring upcoming mathematicians and contributing to the academic growth of the State University of Moldova. His dedication to the advancement of mathematical sciences and his numerous publications and research contributions have established him as a leading figure in his field.
