Raisa Sheynberg is the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Advocacy at Mastercard, based in Washington, D.C. She has extensive experience in policy and regulatory issues related to digital assets, having previously worked on blockchain policy at Facebook's original Libra public policy team. Prior to that, she spent a decade working on national security and economic policy with the U.S. federal government, including in the office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence at the Treasury Department and at the National Security Council in the Obama White House as the Director for International Trade and Investment. She has worked on policy initiatives related to illicit finance and sanctions, international trade, and market access, and has helped build strategic partnerships on behalf of the U.S. government across the Middle East, in Mexico, and Russia. Raisa is fluent in Russian.
