Niccolò Invidia is a distinguished member of Parliament and serves as the Group leader in the Labor Committee. He is a fervent believer in the potential of disruptive technologies ushered in by the 4th Industrial Revolution and advocates for their widespread adoption among both citizens and businesses. Niccolò argues that reordering political priorities to focus on these technologies could, in a few decades, lead to an economy and a society characterized by significant abundance.
Since July 2018, Niccolò has been part of the Italian delegation to the OSCE (Parliamentary Assembly), working within the Economic Commission. In Parliament, he has proposed several reforms including the overhaul of the ITS school system (technical colleges), reforms targeting gig economy labor, the adoption of the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) as an official benchmark alongside GDP, and the establishment of a permanent Innovation Committee. He has also advocated for the digital collection of signatures for referendums.
In his role on the Labor Committee, Niccolò has coordinated and promoted legislation on smart work, cryptocurrency, flexible working arrangements, and gig work. In 2019, he established the Parliamentary Group for Space, which now includes around 100 parliamentarians from various parties, and he is a co-promoter of the Parliamentary Group on Innovation.
More recently, alongside Nicola Marino, Niccolò founded the Aeon Foundation (https://www.aeonfoundation.eu/), aimed at promoting the emerging longevity revolution.
