Maimescu Sava is a doctor of law and associate professor at the Faculty of Law at the State University of Moldova. He was born in the village of Sipoteni, Calarasi district, Moldova. He has worked in the customs service for 15 years, holding positions such as head of the anti-smuggling section, deputy head of the Leuseni Customs Office, and deputy head of the Ocnița Customs Office. He has also been involved in the fight against organized crime and international smuggling. He has written extensively on topics such as public law, intellectual property, and the prevention and combating of international crimes. He has been a candidate for the position of director of the National Anticorruption Center in Moldova.
