Sergiu Cornea is an Associate Professor and PhD holder who is a political scientist and historian from Moldova. He is currently the rector of the State University "Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu" in Cahul, Moldova. He has written extensively on the territorial organization of public power in Moldova, as well as on the administration of local communities. Cornea has also studied the relationship between the European Union and Moldova in the field of higher education.
