I am a testament to the transformative power of risk-taking, resilience and courage. From defecting Romania at age 20 in 1982, seeking sanctuary in Budapest’s churches, to a harrowing escape aided by human traffickers, my journey has been fueled by relentless pursuit of freedom and a daring spirit. These formative experiences instilled in me a tenacity and fearlessness that became the bedrock of my professional journey and personal life. Navigating motherhood single-handedly I raised an exceptional son, now shining as an AI ethicist. I simultaneously excelled professionally, demonstrating tenacity as a Yale Chief Resident. Leading critical patient care, co-running the residency program, and delivering daily lectures, I wielded critical thinking and leadership in the face of formidable challenges. My educational journey spanned renowned institutions – Albert-Ludwig University, Yale School of Medicine, and later through more continued medical education Harvard Medical School and Stanford. I delved into the complexities of Internal Medicine and Public Health, merged western and eastern philosophy through Japanese Acupuncture, Medical Supervised fasting and now Epigenetics, and LLM applications, consistently shattering boundaries with my innovative approaches. With each risk taken, each hurdle surmounted, my conviction grew stronger in challenging the “illusion of skill”, prevalent in healthcare, and in embracing the profound concept of “brain capital”. I have vast experience in lifestyle personalized medicine, and have helped countless patients find a path to deliberate habit formation amidst the chaos of their lives. I understand the importance of always relying on the best and most robust scientific evidence and the choice of the latest genetic and epigenetic evidence when counseling on complex health issues. My vision is to empower patients so that together we can become active deliberate allies in the journey towards life satisfaction and well-being. Rooted in my ivy league education and my life experience, I see myself not just as a physician, but as a lifelong student and compassionate guide. I am committed to facilitating this transformative shift, recognizing that physician and patients are allies in crafting a new narrative. This new paradigm is driven by active listening, compassion, ambivalence, and deliberate disciplined habit formation. My principal non-negotiable value is respect for individual choice and autonomy. I have a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry on an international and cross-cultural level.
