Sven Bulterijs has studied biochemistry and biotechnology at the University of Ghent (Belgium) and has worked as a postgrad researcher at Yale University (lab of David Spiegel). Sven Bulterijs is one of the founding members of the Belgian NGO Heales and continues to serve as its co-president & CSO. Heales is the largest non-profit organization in Continental Europe promoting and advocating scientific research into longevity and biogerontology. He also serves as the CSO of the Institute of Exponential Sciences (IES), editor of the Longevity Reporter, adviser for the Lifeboat Foundation, and as director of Longecity. He has published multiple peer-reviewed papers and has given lectures at multiple international conferences. He is a long-time proponent of life extension, and has been involved in advocacy and outreach for many years. Research interests: Biogerontology, Aging, Non-enzymatic cross-linking, Calorie restriction, Alzheimer’s disease, Oxidative stress Sven Bulterijs has served in several conference organizing committees.
