I am Assistant Professor of Radiology and of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, and director of the Laboratory for Computational Longitudinal NeuroImaging. I am also head of Image Analysis at the DZNE, Bonn Germany. I hold a research affiliation at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) at MIT. My educational background is in mathematics and computer science. My lab's research revolves around AI in medical imaging, machine learning, big data analysis, statistical modeling with a focus on computational neuroimaging, mainly in automatic longitudinal brain MR image analysis, segmentation, registration, and shape analysis. Before coming to DZNE and MGH I worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in computer vision funded by a postdoctoral fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. I have introduced the field of spectral shape analysis in my PhD.
