Pesterfield was previously the president and CEO of Veran Medical Technologies, a company that specializes in image-guided lung cancer diagnosis. He brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the medical technology sector, having previously held leadership positions at Stryker and Veran. Pesterfield's appointment follows his selection by Optellum's founder and former CEO, Václav Potěšil, who led the company since its inception in 2016. Pesterfield is expected to leverage his experience in driving rapid sales growth of advanced medical devices to help Optellum expand its reach and bring its AI-driven lung cancer diagnostic solutions to more hospitals and patients.
