Dr. Anthony Lochtefeld is the Founder and CEO of AmberWave Inc, which is a company focused on developing and selling innovative semiconductor wafer and device technology for use in integrated circuits and LEDs. Dr. Lochtefeld is also one of the co-inventors of the Ultra-Thin Silicon solar cell technology. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT and an MSEE from Purdue. After leading the development of pioneering semiconductor wafer and device technology at predecessor company AmberWave Systems, Dr. Lochtefeld helped to secure $85 million in patent licensing deals and technology sales. He then led the participation of Amberwave Inc. in the $53M DARPA Very High Efficiency Solar Cell program (VHESC) and the company's DOE SunShot Incubator program. Dr. Lochtefeld's experience in the field of semiconductor materials and devices spans over 20 years, during which he has co-authored over 130 peer-reviewed technical papers and holds nearly 100 U.S patents.
