Product Owner Data Collection City of Amsterdam Bart is a Product Owner and Legal Advisor for the municipality of Amsterdam. He was involved in the development of several predictive machine learning models. As part of his work, he created an AI framework that focuses on the ethical, legal and governance parts of AI. Together with a dedicated team, he also worked on a method to detect bias and how to mitigate this to acceptable levels. Currently he is part of the Computer Vision Team. This team creates solutions for the municipality by detecting relevant objects in the public space. By combining these detection with other data, public servants can use this information to keep the city livable, safe and clean more effectively. Next to the legal aspects on this project, he is responsible for the gathering of the necessary data from the public space. His focus is to organize this in a more compliant, ethical and acceptable way.
