Dr. Carlos Ignacio Gutierrez Governance of Artificial Intelligence Fellow at Arizona State University Carlos Ignacio is the Governance of Artificial Intelligence Fellow at the Sandra Day OConnor College of Law at Arizona State University. He is also the Vice-Chair of AI/AS Policy Committee and Member of P2863 Working Party at IEEE, in Washington, D.C. His research interests focus on examining the soft and hard law approaches employed by government and non-government stakeholders in the management of AI and its effects on society. He was formerly with RAND Corporation. Carlos Ignacio Gutierrez holds a BBA majoring in Finance and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame, and a MSc in Development Administration and Planning from the University College London where he was awarded Chevening Scholarship by the U.K. government. Furthermore, he holds a MPhil and a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis Technology Policy from Pardee RAND Graduate School where he was awarded a full doctoral fellowship. LinkedIn
