I am an Associate Professor of HCI and Computer Graphics in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. There, I am the Director of the Embodied Social Agents Lab (ESAL) @ CST.From 2008 to 2012, I was Senior Lecturer in Computer Games Technology in Coventry University, UK and a research fellow at the Serious Games Institute (SGI), Coventry, UK. I received my Ph.D. degree in 2004, as a member of the Image Synthesis Group, from Trinity College Dublin. My thesis was entitled Bottom-up visual attention for autonomous virtual human animation'' and was developed under the guidance of Prof. Carol O' Sullivan. I have served as a post-doctoral researcher in LINC (Laboratoire d’Informatique, de genie iNdustriel et de Communication) at the University of Paris 8, France, and INRIA Paris-Rocquencourt working in collaboration with Prof. Catherine Pelachaud on the EU FP6 NOE HUMAINE and FP6 STREP CALLAS.
