With over twenty-five years of experience in the speech and natural language processing industry, I am a frequent industry speaker, and I have published over fifty technical papers and three books.I have extensive experience in technical management and development as well as in transitioning speech/language technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace. I have helped many organizations bring their speech and natural language processing ideas from vision to reality. My customers range from early stage startups to established speech industry companies to large government organizations. I participate in the W3C's web standards work, including having served as Chair of the W3C's Multimodal Interaction Working Group, and as a member of the HTML5 Working Group and the Web Accessibility Initiative's Accessible Platform Architectures Working Group.
