Gillian Docherty is the CEO of The Data Lab, one of eight Innovation Centres in Scotland. Her role involves implementing the strategic vision laid out by The Data Lab Board, which aims to create 250 new jobs and add £100 million to the economy. Gillian has over 22 years of experience in the IT industry, having previously held senior leadership positions at IBM UK, including software business leader in Scotland, systems and technology sales leader, and territory leader for general business Scotland. In addition, she serves on the board of Tech Partnership Scotland and the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. Gillian is a graduate of Glasgow University with a degree in computing science and is married with a daughter.
