Jeff Minter

Jeff Minter (born 22 April 1962) is an English video game designer and programmer who often goes by the name Yak. He is the founder of software house Llamasoft and has created dozens of games during his career, which began in 1981 with games for the ZX80. Minter began his career in the early 1980s by independently creating games for the ZX80. He later founded Llamasoft and developed a range of successful games for various platforms, including the Commodore 64, Atari 8-bit family, and Atari ST. Minter also worked for Atari and VM Labs, producing games such as Tempest 2000 and Defender 2000. In recent years, he has created games for platforms like the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, including the Minotaur Project series and Polybius. Minter has also made appearances in films like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and the documentary From Bedrooms to Billions. He lives in Wales with his partner Ivan Zorzin and various animals.
