Leena Mary received the M.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram in 1990 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India, in 2006. She retired from Government service as the Principal of Government Engineering College, Kozhikode on 31 Mar 2023. Prior to this, she was Professor & Dean Research at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam. Dr. Leena Mary started her teaching career at College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram in 1991, and later moved to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), Kottayam in 1993. She is one among the founding members of RIT Kottayam and her career grew up with this institute. She also had opportunity to work in various Government Engineering Colleges in Palakkad, Bartonhill (Trivandrum), Idukki and Kozhikode. She was the Head of the Department of ECE during 2014-2016 at RIT Kottayam where she lead the department successfully to obtain the NBA accreditation
