M. Hassaballah was born in 1974, Qena, Egypt. He received the B.Sc. degree in Mathematics in 1997, the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 2003 from South Valley University, Egypt and the Doctor of Engineering (D. Eng.) in Computer Vision in 2011 from Ehime University, Japan. He is currently an Associate Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computers and Information, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt. His research interests include: computer vision, machine learningو biometrics, image processing, feature extraction, object detection/recognition, and data hiding. He serves as a reviewer for several Journals such as IEEE Trans. on Image Processing, IEEE-TCSVT, IEEE-TII, Pattern Recognition, Neurocomputing.
